Active Campaigns

Once your campaign is live and creators begin posting, Jestr automatically tracks content performance and distributes rewards from your campaign's creator pool.

You don't need to manually approve payments or allocate budget between creators. Jestr handles this automatically throughout the campaign based on the views each creator generates.

This page focuses on what happens after content is submitted — how rewards are calculated, how budget is spent, and what happens when a campaign ends.

How your campaign budget is distributed

Campaign budgets operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with rewards distributed as creators generate views.

Rather than processing view counts at the end of a specific time window, Jestr checks all creator submissions approximately once per hour for new eligible views.

During each update:

  1. Jestr calculates how many new eligible views each creator has generated since the previous update.
  2. Creator rewards are calculated based on your campaign's CPM.
  3. Those rewards are allocated from the remaining creator pool.
  4. Creator earnings and your remaining campaign budget are updated.

This cycle continues throughout the campaign until either the creator pool is fully spent or the campaign reaches its end date.

What happens when the budget runs out?

Because multiple creators can generate views between updates, the final batch of eligible views may sometimes be worth more than the amount remaining in your creator pool.

When this happens, the remaining budget is distributed proportionally based on the new views generated during that update.

For example, if one creator generated 60% of the eligible new views since the previous update, they would receive 60% of the remaining available budget, subject to their individual reward limits.

This ensures the final portion of the campaign budget is distributed fairly between creators who contributed views during the same update period.

Once the creator pool has been fully spent, creators will no longer earn additional rewards from the campaign.

Performance after the budget is spent

Content doesn't stop generating views just because your campaign budget has been exhausted.

After the creator pool is fully spent, Jestr will continue tracking campaign content for a short period. This allows you to see some of the long-tail performance generated by content after rewards have finished being distributed.

These additional views don't result in additional creator rewards, but remain useful for understanding the broader performance of your campaign.

What happens when the campaign reaches its end date?

If your campaign reaches its scheduled end date before the creator pool is fully spent, Jestr provides an additional 48-hour tracking period.

This buffer accounts for content submitted near the campaign deadline and gives those submissions time to generate eligible views.

After the 48-hour period ends, reward tracking is finalized and the campaign's final spend is calculated.

Any eligible campaign budget remaining after the campaign is finalized is returned to your Jestr account as credit.

Monitoring an active campaign

Throughout this process, your campaign dashboard gives you a live view of how your campaign is progressing.

You can monitor creator participation, submissions, views, budget usage, and overall campaign performance as new content comes in.

Jestr will also notify you when something requires your attention, such as a creator request, appeal, or keys running low.

Next step: Managing Creators

Most of your campaign will run automatically, but there are times when creators may need something from your team or a submission may require your attention.
