Creating an Account
Jestr is currently a curated marketplace, so studio access isn't automatically granted when you create an account.
Studios first submit a short application telling us about their team, game, and what they're looking to promote. Our team reviews new applications throughout the week and regularly invites new batches of studios onto the platform.
This helps us maintain a healthy balance between the campaigns available on Jestr and the creators participating in them.
Requesting studio access
To get started, submit a studio access request through Jestr.
We'll ask for some basic information, including:
- Your studio or company
- The game you're looking to promote
- Information about your game or store page
- Your estimated campaign budget
- Your contact information
Submitting the form doesn't automatically create an active studio account. Our team reviews each application before granting access.
What we look for
We review applications based primarily on whether the game and potential campaign are a good fit for Jestr's current creator network.
This can include factors such as:
- The game and its current stage of development
- Whether there's enough available for creators to meaningfully cover
- How well the game lends itself to short-form content
- The creators and audiences we currently have on Jestr
- Campaign goals and timing
- Available marketing budget
- Overall campaign readiness
This isn't intended to be a judgment on whether a game is "good" or "bad."
Some great games may be more difficult to market through Jestr simply because we don't currently have enough creators serving that genre, platform, or audience.
Our goal is to be transparent about that before you spend money on a campaign.
Campaign minimum
Jestr campaigns currently have a $5,000 USD minimum budget.
If you're not ready to allocate that budget toward creator marketing yet, we recommend applying once you're closer to running a campaign.
Keeping studio access focused on teams actively considering campaigns helps us balance the number of available campaigns with our creator community.
For more information on campaign budgets and how funds are distributed, see Budget, CPM & Rewards.
Games we currently support
Jestr is primarily built around PC and console games that make sense for our existing short-form gaming creator community.
At this time, Jestr generally isn't a fit for:
- Mobile-first games
- Roblox experiences
- Browser/web games
- Crypto or NFT-focused projects
- Games built heavily around AI-generated content
- Adult or pornographic games
- Gaming-adjacent products or technology rather than games themselves
These limitations aren't necessarily permanent. Jestr's creator network continues to grow, and the types of campaigns we can effectively support may expand over time.
What if my game isn't ready yet?
You don't necessarily need a released game to use Jestr.
Campaigns can begin much earlier in a game's lifecycle, including around announcements, playtests, demos, Steam Next Fest, Early Access, and other pre-release beats.
However, there should generally be enough of the game available for creators to make compelling content from it.
Every application is reviewed by our team, and we'll often reach out personally if we have thoughts about whether Jestr is the right fit for your game.
If we think your game or store presence would benefit from more development before running a campaign, we may recommend waiting and coming back later rather than encouraging you to spend prematurely.
Likewise, if we think your game could be challenging for our current creator network — whether because of its genre, available content, or another factor — we'll try to be upfront about that. In some cases, we may still offer access while setting expectations about what we'd anticipate from a campaign.
Sometimes that means telling you we don't think you should spend money with us yet.
Our goal isn't to launch every possible campaign. It's to help studios run campaigns where we believe Jestr can realistically provide value.
How long does approval take?
Studio applications are reviewed throughout the week, with new studios regularly being added to the platform.
You'll typically hear from our team within 24–48 hours of submitting your application.
Depending on your game or campaign, we may reach out with additional questions before granting access.
Once you're approved
Once your studio has been approved, you'll receive access to the Jestr studio dashboard.
From there, you can add your games, invite members of your team, begin creating campaign drafts, and explore the tools available to studios.
Next step: Basic Setup
Once you have access to your studio dashboard, there are a few things worth setting up before creating your first campaign.
