Basic Setup

Once your studio has been approved, you'll have access to the Jestr Studio Dashboard.

This is where you'll manage your games, create and run campaigns, invite your team, track performance, manage billing, and access the rest of Jestr's studio tools.

There's not much you need to configure before getting started, but it's worth taking a moment to familiarize yourself with the dashboard.

Your studio dashboard

The studio dashboard is the main home for everything you do on Jestr.

From here, you'll be able to:

  • Add and manage your games
  • Create and manage campaigns
  • View active and previous campaigns
  • Monitor campaign performance
  • Manage participating creators and submissions
  • Respond to creator requests
  • Access reporting and campaign data
  • Manage your team
  • View your available Jestr Credits
  • Access support

Most of these areas are covered individually throughout these docs, so you don't need to understand everything before creating your first campaign.

Add your team

If other people at your studio need access to Jestr, you can invite them directly from the Team tab.

Different roles can be used depending on whether someone needs to actively manage campaigns or simply view campaign activity and performance.

If you're working with other members of your studio, we recommend setting up their access before you begin running campaigns.

For more information, see Team Setup.

Add your first game

Campaigns on Jestr are always connected to a game.

Before you can create your first campaign, you'll need to add the game you want to promote to your studio dashboard.

Games can usually be imported directly from Steam or IGDB, making this process quick. If your game isn't available through either source yet, you can also add it manually.

You don't need to do this as part of your account setup, but it will be the first step when you're ready to start building a campaign.

For more information, see Adding a Game.

You're ready to get started

That's really all there is to initial setup.

You don't need to configure every part of Jestr before creating a campaign. Most campaign settings, creator parameters, assets, keys, and other requirements are configured when you actually build the campaign.

If you're ready to start building your first campaign, you can jump ahead to Campaign Setup, which walks through the entire process from adding your game through launch.

Otherwise, if other members of your studio will be using Jestr, there's one last account-level setup worth understanding first.

Next step: Team Setup

Invite other members of your studio and choose what level of access they should have to your Jestr account.

Continue to Team Setup to learn how studio members and permissions work.
