Billing & Payments
Billing & Payments covers how campaigns are funded on Jestr and what happens to your funds before, during, and after a campaign.
Studios can either pay for campaigns individually or maintain a balance of Jestr Credits that can be used across multiple campaigns and games.
This section explains how invoices, payments, credits, unused campaign funds, and refunds work.
How campaign funding works
There are two common ways to fund campaigns on Jestr:
Pay for campaigns individually
If you're running campaigns occasionally, you can simply pay for each campaign as it's launched.
Once your campaign has completed the review process and is ready to publish, the Jestr team will collect any necessary billing information and issue an invoice.
Campaign invoices are generally issued with Net 7 payment terms, allowing us to get your campaign moving without requiring payment to clear before it can be published.
Because campaign funds are ultimately used to pay creators as they generate eligible views, invoices should be paid within their payment terms.
For more information, see Billing & Invoices.
Fund your account in advance
If you're running campaigns regularly, you can also fund your Jestr account in advance.
Your available balance is represented as Jestr Credits, which can then be used toward campaigns without requiring your team to process a separate payment for every launch.
This is particularly useful for publishers, agencies, and studios managing multiple games or campaigns through Jestr.
For more information, see Jestr Credits.
What happens to unused campaign funds?
Campaign budgets aren't necessarily fully utilized.
Creators earn based on the eligible performance their content actually generates, so a campaign may end without using its entire budget.
When this happens, the applicable unused funds are returned to your account as Jestr Credits.
Those credits can then be used toward future campaigns rather than requiring another payment.
For a complete explanation of how unused funds and credits are calculated, see Jestr Credits.
Jestr's campaign fee
Jestr's fee is applied at the campaign level, not when funds are deposited into your account.
This means maintaining a balance of Jestr Credits doesn't itself incur a Jestr campaign fee. The applicable fee is calculated as those funds are used through campaigns.
For a complete breakdown of campaign budgets, creator pools, fees, and creator rewards, see Budget, CPM & Rewards.
